A Few Kind Words

I used to suffer from pain around my neck and shoulder blades, but after getting acupuncture multiple times and keeping up with good posture, I’ve been living completely pain-free. Thanks Jay.
Thanks to the physical therapy and Jay’s acupuncture treatments here, the symptoms of frozen shoulder that had persisted for the past few months have improved significantly. I am deeply grateful for the multifaceted approach to treatment.
I received facial acupuncture treatments from Jay. He was truly meticulous & professional. The fine lines around my eyes have smoothed out, my blood circulation has improved, and my complexion is glowing. Thank you so much! I’m really glad you started acupuncture!
I sprained my ankle and suffered in pain for a few days before visiting this place for acupuncture. After returning home and resting for a bit, my ankle felt so much better. Thanks, Jay!
I visited this place and received acupuncture treatment from Jay Kim because I was suffering from severe pain in my neck and both shoulders. I didn’t notice the difference right away, but I felt much better as the evening went on. If you’re in pain, don’t just endure it—get treated. I highly recommend it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a doctor's referral?
No. No referral is needed to book at either location.
Does acupuncture hurt?
You may notice a mild tingling, warmth, or a dull sensation near the needle site — the needles are much finer than the hollow needles used for injections or blood draws.
What should I expect at my first acupuncture appointment?
Your first appointment starts with a consultation and assessment. Jay will discuss your symptoms, health history and goals, then explain the proposed treatment plan. Treatment may include cupping or gua sha alongside acupuncture when appropriate. Wear loose, comfortable clothing; for some treatment areas, clothing may need to be adjusted or removed, but underwear stays on and proper draping is always used for privacy. Jay will explain each step and ask for your consent before proceeding.
Is acupuncture safe?
Acupuncture is generally considered safe when performed by a registered practitioner using sterile, single-use needles.
What can acupuncture help with?
Acupuncture may be beneficial for a range of health concerns, including neck and back pain, shoulder, hip and knee pain, muscle tension and sports injuries, headaches and migraines, sciatica, arthritis and joint pain, stress and anxiety, sleep difficulties, digestive concerns, women's health concerns, TMJ and jaw tension, facial pain, inflammation, general wellness and preventative care. Acupuncture is a complement to — not a replacement for — conventional medical care; always consult a physician for serious or urgent health concerns.
How much does acupuncture cost?
Fees vary by appointment type and clinic. See Langley page and Burnaby page.
Can I have my acupuncture appointment in Korean?
Yes. Jay provides appointments in English and Korean at both his Langley and Burnaby locations. 한국어로도 진료받으실 수 있습니다.
Is there parking at each location?
Langley: Pure Form Physio has free parking for patients. If the lot is full, street parking is available nearby. Burnaby: some street parking is available near Foot Lounge Wellness; transit is recommended.
